F1 6DOF Motion Simulator
Our flagship model of all our entertainment simulators is our CKAS F1 6DOF Motion Simulator. This unit is a full motion Formula 1 style simulator (available in classic or contemporary shape F1 – shown here in Classic Shape) and is essentially a full professional Formula 1 simulator as used by several of the competing Formula 1 Teams. 
This simulator is for the most professional and serious entertainment applications, well suited to a specialised racing sim centre, theme park attraction or the most die hard home enthusiast.
With outstanding standard features such as:
- Full 6DOF Motion System with Formula 1 specific washout algorithms for recreation of the most subtle inertial effects
- Complete immersion projector based visual system, correctly matched to show horizon and open wheel tyres in optically correct location, for unparalleled realism.
- High force “Arcade Industry” quality force feedback control loader steering with paddle shift gears
- For / Aft electrically adjustable position dual foot pedals (accelerator and brake) to suit most size drivers (max 6"6')
After several laps in the CKAS F1 6DOF Motion Simulator, the heart rate is high, the forearms are shaky, and the forehead is sweating. You are INSTANTLY punished for any mistakes around the circuit, including touching / hitting walls, ripple strips, other cars, grass, bad gear changes and the list goes on.
All drivers which have had the privilege to drive this incredible Formula 1 Motion Simulator agree that is by far the most difficult – but fair – drive they have ever experienced, and the closest any person will come to a real Formula 1 vehicle.
This unit can be supplied with several options, depending on application, including:
- Full custom paint / sticker scheme (supplied in single colour as standard)
- Access Stair and barrier system for public applications, permanent or mobile
- Matched Re-enforced Concrete Slab “Weight” for mobile applications (550kg min)
- Triple Screen “wrap around” Visual System
- Downgrade to CKAS T5 2DOF Motion System (CKAS F1 2DOF Motion Simulator)

CKAS Mechatronics, in association with SimWorld Australia have joined forces to provide an incredible line up of entertainment style motion simulator products for the Arcade, Specialised Sim Centre and Theme Park markets. The following video demonstrates the VV8-GEN2 devices, operated at Albany, Western Australia, Australia.
The key SimWorld Australia product line on offer is as follows:
VV8-GEN1
The entry level VV8-GEN1 simulator provides 80% of the experience of our GEN2 machine without compromising on strength and durability. It is supplied as a full turnkey solution with a scaled down CKAS 2 Degrees of Freedom motion base offering ±6o of angular movement in 2 directions and is based on our proven GEN2 design. This unit is suitable for coin or token operation within an arcade where space and operator supervision is limited.
VV8-GEN2
The VV8-GEN2 simulator provides 90% of the experience of our GEN3 machine and utilises a purpose built CKAS VC 2DOF 450kg class motion base with up to ±18o of angular movement in 2 directions, higher power & frequency responses resulting in an overall increased level of immersion. Drivers can actually feel the gear changes through the seat. This unit is suitable for coin or token operation for a more serious arcade providing a higher level of immersion than the GEN1. The VV8-GEN2 requires full time supervision - approx 1 operator per 6 to 8 machines.
VV8-GEN3
The VV8-GEN3 simulator utilises a purpose built short CKAS V4 6DOF 400kg class motion base with ±18o of angular movement and ±120mm of linear movement on a section of a scale V8 Supercoupe or Formula 1 shell (similar to the F1 6DOF Motion Simulator). The 6DOF motion base is capable of simulating the heave and yaw axis as well as the forward/backward & sideways linear movements providing a higher level of immersion than the VV8-GEN2. Drivers can feel the rear end let go and regain traction or the floating loose sensation of a car at high speed. This unit is suitable for the higher level arcades and theme parks, corporate branding promotion or a cost effective synthetic racing car trainer.
VV8-GEN4
The flagship of the VV8 line up is our GEN4 full body simulator incorporating a customised short CKAS V7 6DOF 650kg class motion base. This machine is for those that want to stand out amongst the crowd. Scale car shells can be purpose built to suit clients’ needs with custom liveries for the ultimate branding experience. These units are suitable for theme parks, synthetic race driver training, corporate branding or the ultimate toy in the games room.
